Pastel Spring Scarf

DSCN4092

The weather in San Diego is nice almost year-round. Even though I have lived here my entire life, I get cold even with a light breeze, so I always carry a light jacket with me. During the spring, I also bring a light scarf when I leave the house, particularly if we are heading to dinner or anywhere close to the bay. The weather can drop a few degrees or be overcast closer to the beach areas. I prefer to have the jacket and scarf with me, to wear if I get cold, than to not have them when I need them. I am kind of a planner that way, I like to be prepared. In addition to keeping me me warm, I like to put on a scarf to add color or pattern to an outfit. My closet has an entire drawer dedicated exclusively to scarves (I organize them by color & style). Not heavy winter scarves, but scarves that could double as pashminas, which I can wear year-round, made of lighter and mostly colorful materials. I have them in all colors, multiple materials, and fun patterns.

With spring here, I added this scarf in pastel colors and a denim jacket to my casual outfit. We were heading to the movies that evening and I get cold in movie theaters, so they were perfect additions to my short sleeve top.

For the pictures, I arranged the scarf in three different ways. Which one do you like best?

Do you wear light scarves in the spring?

Hugs,

Paola

PS – I also wore one of my favorite silk scarfs to the San Diego Latino Film Festival, you can see those pictures here. And, this is currently my favorite black & white scarf, I bought it during a trip to Germany and probably wear it way too often!
