Fall Sweater: Comfort in a Soft Cape

DSCN6954

It is finally starting to feel like fall! Cooler weather, some rain, and it is getting dark earlier. We can finally start wearing our sweaters….maybe light sweaters in Southern California, boots and some scarfs! I am loving it! This season, a trend in sweaters isponchos and capes. Stripes also continue to be in trend. With my curvy body type, I usually accentuate my waistline and shy away from baggy clothes or pieces that are too loose-fitting. Most of my sweaters are cardigans or fitted styles. When I first tried on this cape style sweater, I wasn’t sure it flattered my figure, yet I knew it would be comfortable and warm to wear! I decided to buy it to add a trendy and fun piece to my closet for the season, and because it is light enough to wear in the fall and can be layered for winter. It is a thin sweater, not a heavy knit, so I don’t feel bulky in it. The first time I wore it, I was happy to confirm I was correct, it is super comfortable! I have already worn it multiple times. It is easy to match with blue jeans, black or gray skinny pants, leggings, and mini skirts with tights. It is also an ideal light and comfortable sweater for travel. Plus, because it is not a thick knit or bulky, it is easy to wear under winter coats and jackets. It has become one of my favorite sweaters to wear for casual outings or relaxing weekends at home. Here, I matched it with indigo skinny jeans, a cream tank top, and ballerina flats to catch a flight. It was perfect for a cool fall day! Hope you are enjoying fall a much as I am!

Do you have any cape or poncho style sweaters? What do you think about this style of sweaters?

Hugs,

Paola
