The weather can be tricky this time of the year, making it hard to choose what to wear. We are transitioning from winter to spring and one day we need a sweater, the next day it is raining, the next it is sunny and warm…and today we had Santa Ana winds making it a little too hot for our region. Even though in Southern California we enjoy sunny days almost year-round, those weeks in between, just as the the seasons are changing can be tricky when it comes to outfits. It can be nippy in the morning, then too warm for a long-sleeve sweater during the day, and then cold in the evening. I tend to carry a cardigan or light jacket with me in March, just in case. Polka dots are trendy and I found this short sleeve sweater top on sale at Macy’s. It is warm enough for this transitioning weather, yet light enough to wear during the day – and FUN! I also like that it is short sleeve, super soft, and easy to mix and match, I can wear it tucked (here I only tucked the front center) or untucked. Most importantly, I feel comfortable in it! I wore it recently for an afternoon of shopping with Lola, followed by the movie screening of Cinderella! I paired it with red skinny jeans, a blue belt, gray heals, and silver accessories.
Here’s a picture of Lola and me taken outside the movie theater, if you’d like to take a look.
What do you think of the outfit? Do you have any short sleeve, light sweaters? I’d love to hear from you.
Hugs,
Paola
PS – Also have these skinny jeans in pink, and coincidentally matched them with a polka dot top as well, see those Outfit of the Day pictures here.
