As many of you know, I am close to my sister. When I saw a movie was coming out titled Sisters, I was curious. Then, I watched the trailer with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler (both Saturday Night Live alumni), it is hilarious! These ladies are two of my favorite comedians! I saved the date for the media preview screening on my calendar. As the date got closer, my sister coincidently asked me if I wanted to go see the movie with her on opening weekend. I invited her to the screening. She usually can’t attend screenings because these are held on a weeknight. But, to my pleasant surprise, she made the exception for this movie and said yes! It was the perfect movie to watch with my sister.
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are so good on camera together, the jokes and punch lines just come out naturally! The are a great team! Sisters is about two adult sisters summoned by their parents to come back to their family home to clean out their childhood bedroom before the house is sold. When they return to the house, the sisters reminisce about the past and decide to throw one last high-school style party, inviting their classmates from the past! The party results in hysterical mishaps and disasters! The movie is full of funny scenes! We both loved the movie! We were laughing so hard on some parts of the movie that it was hard to listen to the next lines! The entire theatre full of movie-goes was laughing! I would recommend this movie as a good one to go see with your sister, friends, or on a date night!
Sisters opens in theaters today, December 18 and is Rated R. Below is the trailer for your viewing. Sisters stars Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, John Leguizamo, John Cena, and James Brolin.
