Everyday, we choose what we wear and what we wear may influence how we feel. If we are wearing something that makes us feel good, we will feel more confident and that may make for a better and happier day! On Friday’s, I often like to go from my workday straight to dinner with my hubby, or out for evening plans with friends or family. Going out after work is often the official start to the weekend, so I like to dress more casual on Fridays, but still need to be work-attire appropriate. A simple way to transform jeans into an outfit that is work-casual appropriate is to add a tailored jacket. With summer here, a linen jacket comes to mind. This pumpkin tone jacket has been easy to match with jeans, skirts, dark or light pants, and even wear over a summer dress! It is a fun and bright color, making it perfect for summer.
Fortunately, it is a linen blend, not 100% linen, so it does not wrinkle as easily. Luckily for my wallet, I can freshen it up in the dryer with a dryer sheet and wear it a few times before I need to send it to the cleaners. My favorite way to wear tailored jackets with jeans during warm weather months is with a white top or button-down blouse. It is simple, sleek, and can be easily accessorized. This time, I added a gold tone necklace, green belt and shoes. And just like that, I was ready for a jeans and linen jacket kind of a casual Friday!
